Corpus Christi Procession (1941) British Pathé

Cork, Eire, (Republic of Ireland, Southern Ireland).
We present to you a beautiful Corpus Christi procession from yesteryear through Bandon in West Cork, Ireland. The Very Reverend J. Canon Scannel, D.S.O. is the bearer of the Monstrance, he was the first chaplain appointed by the Air-Army. In respect and honour of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King of kings, the religious and military representatives took part in the procession. Captain James Smith is in charge of the military escort, and Group leader O'Keefe is in charge of the local Defence force. The ceremony culminated with Benediction of all the faithful present.
